G.I. Joe book covers
Curtis Publishing got into the paperback market for a few years. Many were reprints with covers ripped off from the German SF magazine PERRY RHODAN. Others were an interesting use of the GI JOE toy astronaut in a shoestring budget setting. These appear to have been done in 1970 and 1971.

I was starting to collect paperbacks as a teenager when these cheapass covers appeared. I may have bought one or two just to laugh at the cover.
